How ridiculous and unfair can the DMV be?

The DMV Admin Per Se hearing process is, by its very nature, corrupt. The same person who represents the DMV, and is trying to take away the driver's license, is also given the responsibility of deciding who wins, the DMV or the licensee. That pressure, to decide either in favor of their employer, or in favor of a stranger they will never see again, makes a fair verdict unlikely, if not impossible. It reminds one of the German concentration camps, where the prisoners would be told if they did not kill another prisoner, they would be killed.
Most DMV officers fall prey to the pressure, and take licenses without a second thought, only with a glance at their paycheck.
Our office has gotten the DMV's "set aside" statistics (when the driver wins his license back) for each Hearing Officer. The average Hearing Officer gives the license back in only 20% of the hearings where the licensee is represented by an attorney, and 3% of the hearings where the licensee is not represented by an attorney. Some DMV Hearing Officers only grant a set-aside 7% of the time, even where the driver is represented by an attorney! Which ones are which? Call my office at 1-800-got-a-502 (800) 468-2-502).. Moral? If you plan to keep your license you must hire an experienced DUI attorney, ASAP.
